May 1997
Okay, so the teachers at the Queensland Teachers Union were on strike again!!! On 20 May 1997, the situation/reason for holding the strike is clearer than the last time on March. This time, not all teachers in the state go on strike together in the same day. They had to take turns in going on strike. Why? The government decided a new law and if they all go on strike the same day, they'll be against the law! Yes, you can really tell the difference and the disadvantage of the teachers throughout the state of Queensland. The teachers in other states of Australia get paid like every other single teachers in the country. Queensland's teachers get paid less than most teachers who teach in other states of Australia.
The Australian government, the Liberal Party, said that they'd put more students into classes and reduce the amount of teachers in Australia. This will cause unemployment for teachers around the country! That's why the teachers were on strike again......
Since none of the teachers expected the students to be at school, most of us stayed at home. Some even went out to the movies or other entertainment venues. It was an extremely boring day. Teachers gave us homework which weigh a tonne, for us to do during the day...... Luckily, I finished them quite quickly. So I started to work on my internet web site. I have really took advantage of my time because I changed many things around the site. I even got time to FTP some of them ^_^ !
It was an excellent day on 5 May 1997! Everything was perfect and things worked out well in every single subjects at school! We were playing this stock market game in Social Education (Soc.Ed.) for about a month. Today we're supposed to sell all our shares (stocks) and calculate the total cash we've got in hand within the first five minutes of the lesson. Guess what? Not only that our team didn't win, it took our class 45 minutes (a full lesson) to calculate the amounts because only one team brought the newspaper with them. We had to wait for the newspaper as it was passed around the classroom. So no homework for Soc.Ed.!
The last period of the day was Japanese - one of my favourite subjects! We didn't do much work because we watched a video instead (one of my favourite Anime movies - Totoro!) I went home after school and received a mail from my internet pen pal in Hungary - the Internet Kalauz! Basc Mrton (my friend in Hungary) had sent me a Hungarian magazine called the Internet Kalauz. Why? Well, it's sort of a long story (actually, it's a short story)
My friend, Mrton, enjoys reading this Hungarian magazine (he's a Hungarian) called the Internet Kalauz. He browsed through the April edition of the magazine and found my URL in one of the pages! The article even have my site's info in it! This whole thing is just way cool and awesome! Mrton visited my site and told me (well, e-mailed me) about the Internet Kalauz.
I was really amazed (Are you reading this, Mrton?)! I said that it would be great if he could scan the page and e-mail it to me. So he replied that it would be much easier if he'd mail me with the magazine. I asked for my parents' permission and they said okay! So that's how I got this tremendous magazine from my cyberpal Mrton ^_^ Thanks again!

April 1997
I'd say this project (my web site) will take over at least half of my Easter holidays. There are too many broken links and images throughout the site! Although I did FTP all needed files onto estella.com, somehow it didn't work properly. So I decided that I will delete all files currently on the internet and FTP them all over again. So if there are any broken links or images at all, please e-mail me at et@estella.com so that I will make those updates/changes as soon as possible.

March 1997
On 25 March 1997 in Brisbane, Australia, the teachers of the Queensland Teachers Union are on strike! (yeah!) So students who live in this state don't have to go to school! Most students decided to spend their time at home watching TV, or even going out to the movies! I decided to work on my homepage because I finally have my homepage editor back working ^_^ ( I received it in the mail this morning)!
